Watch out South Kensington, antipodean cafe Urban Baristas are opening up at 44 Harrington Road very very soon. The team will be taking over the former Iddu, a beautiful 1,400 sqft site with a south facing windowed shopfront.
Influenced by the Bondi beach culture, Urban Baristas is all about simplicity, comfort, and laid-back vibes. Their shops are simple and unpretentious, a place you can take a breather.
‘Our Aussie spirit extends to giving our guests those healthy Aussie choices. Although, whilst we’ll always favour our Smashed Avo on Toast and healthy Brekkie Pots, we offer a mean Ham and Cheese Toastie as well. Sometimes you just need that bit of comfort food,’ said Huw Wardrope, owner of Urban Baristas.
‘We like people that see life as a journey of discovery and adventure, not taking themselves too seriously. We hope people online might notice that we’ve named our coffees after our favourite Aussie beaches and take them back to that year backpacking, or dream about that long-awaited adventure away.’

‘Cafe Ventures were total professionals, finding us a great deal in the heart of South Kensington,’ said Huw. It was an absolute pleasure representing Huw and the Urban Baristas team. Follow Urban Baristas on Instagram and check back in April for the grand opening.
